A springtime card

"March comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb!"

Oh yes, today is March 1st, it's still pretty chilly in New York, but at least I can look forward to the changes this month! The sun is already hanging out a bit longer everyday!

Today also signifies new challenges everywhere... and it all started with Lisa Johnson's Poppy Seed challenge!

Here is my take on it. Since I've had zero time to stamp in the past weeks, this little card has been snuggling in my head for awhile now!

I've been stalking the Papertrey site for the Smokey Shadow cardstock to come back in stock. I've been itching to make a yellow and gray combo card. Luckily, I found some Jillibean Soup pp in gray that I can use!

The Dots and Flowers background from Hero Arts is one of my favorite background stamps - ever. My favorite thing to do is use Versamark to do a light and subtle background.

The largest sprig was lightly touched with Frosted Lace Stickles. I think I might like it better than Diamond! Diamond is too much bling bling, but it does capture better with a camera over the Frosted Lace. I didn't have yellow rhinestones, so I colored in clear ones with a yellow Copic marker. So. Very. Cool!
