Felt is hot, isn't it? I love it's textures and the way it looks against the smooth cardstock. I have experience with felt having made a couple of banners for my sorority back in my college days, haha! So anyways, I decided to do a little research and buy some nice quality felt so I can make my own embellishments. I found this great little etsy shop called feltonthefly that sells 100% wool felt in gorgeous colors!! The owner, Janet is sooo nice and accommodating! She helped me put together a custom order of some of my fave colors (hint: PTI matches, lol!).
Look what I made with my new felt!
Look! Clean perfect cuts! No fraying! The best part of this felt thingie? It was only $2.50 for a 9x12 sheet!
BTW, I am not getting paid to write this, just passing along a great shopping experience! :)
Stamps: Hero Arts Friendship Messages, Papertrey Background Basics: Tin Types, Daisy Bucket Friends

ReplyDeleteSuch a cute card! That felt is fabulous too! You may know this already...but Papertrey is coming out with a line of high quality felt as well!

ReplyDeleteI have been drawn in to the felt trend. I haven't used it yet, but it's been appearing in my brain--as ideas for cards and other crafts. Perhaps this will inspire me to get started. I am checking out that etsy shop now.

ReplyDeleteHi, Kryssi! This is soooooo cute! Love it! :-)
ReplyDeleteI wanted to let you know I found some wool felt for $1.50 for a 12x18 sheet & it's really nice! I ordered it from Vintage Vogue in Corona CA. They don't have a toll-free number, but the company that makes it is National Nonwovens and their toll-free # is 800-333-3469.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet card! I love felt, too! What did you cut it with?
ReplyDeleteVery cute card and embellishements! Were those hearts cut with "normal" scissors?
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love this card, Kryssi! The felt hearts are darling & love the scalloped edge...perfect touch! Going to check out her etsy shop...fun! :)

ReplyDeleteKryssi - Your cards are adorable! Thanks so much for mentioning my felt shop in your blog - how very thoughtful of you! I've checked out that lovely PaperTrey site, and I'm quite sure that my felt source is the same as theirs. I'd like to offer you and your blog readers a 10% discount on 100% wool felt purchased in my Etsy shop from now until the end of March (2010) when they mention your blog in 'notes to seller'.
