Encouragement

What a weekend!

Friday night was Su's birthday dinner. Saturday night was Yvonne's engagement dinner. Sunday was the Oyster Festival, which is peachy and all, except that we had to wait in the breezy open field for an hour for a shuttle bus to take us to the darn thing. Yeah, this is after you parked in their parking facility. One shuttle bus to transport people back and forth. One for hundreds of people on line! Audrey's nose was all drippy by the time we got on the bus.

And now I'm sick.

I'm posting the rest of the batch of "encouragement" cards I sent off with Sarah. She wanted "pretty" and "girly" cards.

I'm not really sure the mental process behind this one, but I'm pleased with the final product. Love the birds, I think they're from the Heidi Grace line, I forgot. I held off using these stamps because they are not high quality photopolymer stamps. Using regular ink, the ink beads up on the stamps and your results are blotchy images. Yuck. That is, until I discovered Versafine ink. The stamps now ink beautifully!

Stamps: PTI Garden of Life, Gel-a-Tins Wild Things, Heidi Grace?
Other: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots, SU! Scallop border punch, paper piercer

Here is a minimalist card. I used no colors. Just versamark and white embossing powder!

Stamps: Memory Box Birds of a Feather
