Paper Smooches: Hubby and Wife

It's been a rough few weeks for me -- from one minor illness to another. That. Is. So. Annoying. Must be the change in weather, the month of April never seems to like me. I'm still not out of the woods just yet, but let's just say I'm back up on my feet now. I'm well enough to be sitting here writing this post and then I head out for a quick meeting with my baby sister -- wedding related. :) She just got engaged a week ago and we're already ironing out details for her wedding. Guess who was appointed the planner? Yup. It is my honor though! My own wedding feel like ages ago so I'm glad I now have the insight and (crafting) experience to make her wedding spectacular! The first thing we agreed on was the wedding colors -- she wanted clean, modern, chic. So we decided on yellow + grey. That decision inspired this card using Paper Smooches Hubby and Wife (available for purchase May 1st).

I don't really enjoy paper piecing or any form of cutting with scissors but this card was begging for it with those itty bitty flowers. I love the cascade look. And it struck me to use the sentiment as the cake topper. To tie it all together, I added a single flower to the very top. The background is stamped with an open flower image, also included in the Hubby and Wife set. Get it. You won't regret it. :)
