I've got two CAS cards today and both pack quite a punch, I think. :)
First up is this card using Metropolis. I love this stamp set, it really speaks to the city girl in me! And of course I always encourage embracing the white space!
Here's my second card using Zoo Crew.
I'm so into watercoloring lately. It's perfect to make pretty colorful backgrounds when complete stark white is a bit boring. I simply kept brushing and layering on colors until I was happy. There's no wrong or right way to do this, just go with the flow. Just don't overdo it, because too many colors can look muddy. The hippo is colored with Copics. When I was done, I wanted it to match the carefree style of the background, so I went in with a colorless blender Copic and randomly washed out the hippo. Again, no real rhyme to my method, just going with the flow. I'll be coming back to this watercolor technique a lot.
Kryssi these are gorgeous! LOVE the watercolour background on the second one. Such a cool effect!
ReplyDeleteWonderful and so creative! I never would have thought of putting the hot air balloon above the city but it's awesome!
