Gallery Idol - Top 15 - Round 2

Hi everyone!

I'm happy to announce, if you didn't already find out via Paper Crafts and Moxie Fab World blogs, that I've advanced to the next round! If you voted for my card, THANK YOU! The competition is fierce, so every vote counts!

So, here we are again, a week later with the same drill! This week's challenge is Masculine cards - that incorporate items found in the garage. I had a heavy hunch that the next theme would be masculine cards because of Father's Day this weekend, but I wrinkled my nose when I saw the garage requisite thrown in. I detest our garage! We actually use it for storage and it's a mess! So, I wasn't too thrilled that we had to incorporate something from the garage into our masculine cards.

Soo, after I stopped whining to myself, I took a simple approach and thought about my recipient - my hubster. I knew that I had to do something different for him to take notice of my cards. Usually, when I ask for his opinion on any of my cards, he'll do a quick side glance and say "yeah, it's nice". I know half the time he didn't even look! So, I had to do something different to get his attention this time around. And I knew just the trick! :)

Ta da! He has to take notice of himself, right?! This photo was shot last weekend, that's him and our little Ella Bella, who is now 7 months old. When I showed him, he STARED at it, nodded his head, and said "Mmm, very good." Haha, what a narcissistic punk! He's obsessed with cars, always looking at cars online and magazines. Like, all the time! It's annoying, but in this case, it was useful as inspiration for this card. I thought the sentiment is a cute word play with the metrics inside the gear, cause you know, the love in our family truly is beyond measure. :)

Thanks for looking! And voting! This really is a fun competition!

Again, thank you, thank you! :)
