I don't know about you, but ever since the competition started, Monday has become my favorite day of the week, because it's the big reveal day of what everyone else has created for the weekly theme. It's so fun to see everyone's unique takes on each theme. This week's "using ribbon creatively" theme is sure to blow everyone's socks off!
Here is my card
Ribbons aren't my strength. I admit it. I don't have a big stash of pretty, elaborate ribbon. After some brainstorming, I totally could've went nuts with the ribbons and created a disaster haha. But, in the end, I stayed true to my style of clean and simple and created this fun, happy, hopeful card inspired by the movie "Up" about finding joy and seeking adventure - everyday. I used two different width ribbons to create the rays of the sun as the canvas for this scene. The clouds are the negatives of the dies, I simple embossed the bottom layer and then used an ink pad and grazed the top of the dots to give it a little color and definition. Everything went together pretty smoothly. The balloons took me the longest, and I'm super glad to have my Maya Road mini houses on hand to complete this card!
My intent is to make YOU smile. Did I?
This week's competition is tough, 5 of the 10 will not advance, so please vote HERE.
