I broke out some new "stuff" that I've been wanting to use including my Stampin' Up bird punch - soo cute!, and the Tattered Angels frames, soo pretty!, and my pretty October Afternoon Thrift shop paper. I decided not to be a hoarder. :)
I knew I wanted to make a shabby chic, vintage type of card, but most that I've seen around blogland are very busy, albeit still beautiful! I wanted to stay true to my lazy, clean style and give it a go. By concentrating all the detail in one area, I like the results!
Oh my gosh, the little flowers, I've had them since 2004 way before I dove into the world of papercrafting! My husband and I traveled to Hong Kong that year and I raided a floral shop. I purchased a ton of ribbon and all these little things. A couple of years ago, as I was doing some cleaning, I came across these little buds and almost threw them out. Good thing I kept them because I am so glad that flowers are all the rage now! I probably paid less than a buck for a big bunch too! I'll have to ask my HK friend, aka Ella and Audrey's godmother to bring some over when she visits in December. :)
Sorry, haven't had time to do much other than these spur of the moments crafting. We're going through birthdays, sick days, and a ton of other stuff this month......... I dedicate this card to our first family dog, Toby - who passed away 2 days ago. Thank you for all the joy you've brought to us and for making me overcome my fear of canines in the 11 years you were here. May you rest in doggy heaven!
