Audrey turned 2 and a half yesterday! I am happy to report that she is finally sleeping in her own bed, for the most part anyways. Great, just in time for her check-up tomorrow! We have her toddler bed set up right next to me. She willingly lies down on her own bed and falls asleep on her own. 3 nights and counting! However, she does not sleep through the night still. :( That's right, that means I have not had a good night's sleep for 2 and a half years. But, I'm proud of her for being in her own space anyway.
So, I think I might be raising a mini Picasso. She loves to get into my craft supplies. She is particularly fond of my prismacolor pencils. She loves to "juu-raw". Auntie Pea was shocked that I let her use my prismas so she quickly bought her her own set of Crayola colored pencils, lol. She's been pretty good, she only doodles on the paper I give her, with a few attempts at other things (coffee table, books, cabinets, etc.) But, a few days ago, I was in the bathroom washing my hair for all of 3 minutes. The entire time I heard this furious scratching noise outside.
I came out to discover our hallway, vandalized...
The 3 feet tall culprit caught red handed!
Gotta love the terribe twos. My twins are three and sometimes they are still terrible. : ) I know she did some work on your wall...but, she really does looks so adorable!
ReplyDeleteg'job, little augeee!
ReplyDeleteoh, the horror! that's why I can't have kids. =X Gin
ReplyDeleteThe Vandal!!!! The nerve of her to be there looking cute after such destruction of the wall. LOL She is a cutie even with the writing utensil in her hands. At least it wasn't a permanent marker. Hannah stole one and marked ALL over her body when she was almost 2!!!! I walked in as she was about to mark her face! :)
ReplyDeletehahahaha go audrey bee! :) i love your work!
ReplyDeleteoh, I remember these days only toooooo well! ;) mine used crayons which do NOT come off of walls and paint does NOT cover it either. let me tell you, I don't miss those days. well, maybe a little. :D
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, I couldn't help laughing. Oh the memories that brings back. I am laughing now, but I promise I wasn't laughing then. Someday, it will be a fond memory. My son when he learned to write his name wrote it everywhere with whatever writing utensil he could find. He would even try to deny it when it was so obvious. Like who else would write his name in his handwriting on the wall.
ReplyDeleteomg! hahahaha that's just sooo great! =)
ReplyDeleteShe can really fill a space, can't she!
ReplyDeleteI remember those days (not too long ago)!!!
ReplyDeleteI nominated you for an award on my blog.
